Panasonic Evolta certified by Guiness as the longest-lasting AA alkaline battery cell

Japan’s company Panasonic is introducing an AA domestic battery that will maintain gadgets running 20 percent longer than rivals do.
The new Panasonic Evolta alkaline battery, its name derived from evolution and voltage, has won the Guiness Long Record against products from Duracell and Energizer according to Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., which makes Panasonic brand products.
Evolta’s batteries have 10-year shelf life is up to 60 percent longer than rivals this performance results from more material being packed inside it, the new materials it’s made with and its sturdier seal than predecessors had.
Evolta is more attractive to store in disaster preparedness kits. Other batteries last five to seven years on the shelf, Panasonic officials said.
